“A new study shows 30 minutes of exercise a day works just as well as an hour in helping overweight adults lose weight.”
Do you ever get to a point in your workout where you feel like you’ve reached your max energy level and simply can’t GO anymore? Well, according to a new study, that’s not as uncommon as we may think. We’ve all heard that exercising at least 30 minutes a day will help reduce unwanted fat, help burn calories quicker and reduces your risk of things like heart disease and high cholesterol. Whew, that’s a lot of info! Did you know, too, of course, getting to the gym or group fitness class is the first and hardest step in your weight-loss journey, and once you’re there, it takes the first FIFTEEN minutes for your body to warm up to the idea of losing fat…? Fifteen minutes – that’s the first HALF of your workout! Once you’ve conquered the first fifteen minutes THEN you’re body is like “ok, I’m ready to lose inches.”
Why am I telling you this? Because not only do I want to see your smiling faces in person at class, but I also want to offer you the same opportunities to take the same classes you do in person, at home or on the go!
I’ve been running a beta test on a new format for my website wherein users can register on MY website to access workout videos from Bootcamp and AMPD Resistance to Zumba and Toning! After a few test runs, I’m proud to say that it’s WORKING!
The great thing is each video will be 30-40 minutes long depending on the class and equipment needed for the class. I am still working on the recording of several of the videos so there are only a handful of them up right now for viewing (under “Bootcamp”). Every time a playlist drastically changes, a new video will be posted to showcase the new choreo added to the class (meaning a new video under each category every couple of weeks).
I’m sorry to say that I will NOT be recording live in class for these videos any longer for several reasons – the main one being that I need to focus on my class in person and my class on camera, not both at the same time. Therefore, I will likely ask a handful of you if you would like to assist in the recordings, so that I can focus on the recording 100% and not have to worry about if there is a new person who needs my attention on the choreo. #InstructorProblems #RichardSimmonsWatchOut
A new AMPD Resistance video will be posted this weekend as will a Zumba AND Zumba Toning video! Say WHAT!?!
